Soon after Google started rolling out the Android Device Manager to devices, the web interface of the new service has gone live today.
The Android Device Manager, which would
help you to locate your phone in real-time and show when it was last
used, has now been launched completely, along with the web interface
to control the device remotely. The service can be used to ring the
device at full volume for as long as five minutes, just in case it has
been misplaced in your home itself.
Also the Android Device Manager can be
used to pin point your phone location on Google maps and can be remotely
reset in case it has been robbed. To use the service you need to
install the Google Apps Device Policy
app on your handset and register your phone with the service using your
Google account. The same account can be used to control the device
using the web interface.
